Music is what calms me down and brings me peace. During this pandemic music and video games have been helping me pass by time also while doing homework of course! But if I were to pick my all-time top ten songs it would be pretty difficult but I will probably pick songs from many genres that mean a lot to me and brought me good memories so I don't have to be sad about being quarantined. The first song I would pick is Ricch Forever by Roddy Ricch. This a rap song from an artist out of Compton California which is close to my hometown Long Beach. Every time I listen to this song it reminds me of the first time I heard it. This song gets my adrenaline pumping and puts me into a relaxed mood. The majority of music that I listen to is Rap. Another song that reminds me of being back home late at night by the beach is Slide By Calvin Harris. This song was just perfect for the summer when it first came out. Just a good song that brings back good memories when life was simple. Many of these songs all hold a special place in my heart during either a good or bad time that taught me many lessons. Sublime is one of my favorite bands because they're from my neighborhood and it just makes me feel like im in another world. The song from Sublime would have to be " Santeria " When I first listened to this artist named Khalid I didn't like his music till I got more hooked on it by friends. For my playlist, I would add the song Saved by Khalid. This is mostly a feels song but it relates to me today in my life. Being Hispanic I had to add a Latin song so I don't forget my Spanish. This song is similar to the previous one but it's called " La Cancion " which translates to the song. This is another feels song that explains how love and life can be. Electric Feel by MGMT is another rock song that makes me feel outside of the world. Every time I listen to it, it brings back a time where I would go skateboarding every day. Country music has never been a favorite of mine but I got used to it when someone in my life introduced me to the genre. One country song I would add to my playlist would be One Man Band by Old Dominion. This song just holds a lot of sentimental value that im too embarrassed to talk about lol. Amber by 311 would be on this playlist. This is a song I recently found and have been in love with since. It's a rock song but it brings nothing but peaceful vibes. Hope by XXXTENTACION is a song that makes you want to humble yourself and makes you think about whats going on in the world. This song was made after the Parkland school shooting in Florida. Lastly, the final song on my playlist would be From Time by Drake. I feel like this is the perfect song to summarize everything that's happened over time. Although this song has nothing to do with what's going on currently I interpret it as what's changed over time that made me who I am today.
